Electrolysis - the only method of permanent hair removal
Electrolysis is the only proven permanent method of hair removal dating back as far as 1875 when Dr. Charles E. Michel removed an ingrowing eyelash.
Electrolysis is a treatment that is as individual as you are. To design a treatment plan for your needs you must book at The InStep Aesthetics & Podiatry Clinic for a free full consultation. All consulations are carried out in a private and confidential manner.
During the electrolysis consultation the cause of hair growth will be assessed. This is necessary when designing a treatment plan. Clients with a systemic cause of hair growth will be receiving treatments more frequently.

There are many causes of unwanted hair:
This is the hair that you are born with. Your genes and race will determine your hair growth pattern.
Hair can be topically stimulated by temporary methods of hair removal such as, tweezing, waxing, threading, shaving or by using an epilator. Hair found on the top lip, chin, sides of the face and neck area, are hormonal areas that will eventually get stronger over time. Hair found on areas such as the eyebrows are different. This hair weakens as it is repeatedly removed and may result in hair loss.
This hair type is a result of hormonal stimulation. The male hormones, androgens are the cause of the growth of coarse terminal hair found on the top lip, chin, sides of the face and neck line. The hair will grow at a faster rate than congenital hair growth. Conditions such as polycystic ovaries, adrenal conditions, long term stress, menopause or surgery such as a full hysterectomy may result in an increased hair growth.
